Midnight Diner is the first small shop I opened in Dali, and it will be run until 2022. It is run by the fifth store manager Hanhan and his friends. Many of the current team leaders were former store managers and employees there (Xiaochun, Tailor and Hechen, Xiaoxi, Shitou and Honghong), and we have many good memories together. Open until 4am. It is a good place to go if you want to have a quiet meal and chat late at night. Whether it is the main course of braised pork rice, beef brisket noodles, or light meals such as French toast, rice dumplings with fermented rice wine, steamed egg custard, or drinks such as Thai milk tea and coffee, they are all available.

Several hikers have eaten there and all said it was good, some even thought it was especially good without knowing the connection with us. But overall it is a simple restaurant, not a specialty restaurant, and the taste is more like Jiangsu and Zhejiang.

If you live in the South District of Xiaoyuanzi, you can go to Dali Late Night Canteen (South District of Xiaoyuanzi). Shitou runs the restaurant there. I used to go there often at night for a while. It has a very old-fashioned community store style, which I like very much. There is even a mahjong table.
