It wasn’t until entering the forest, stepping onto thick moss, and reaching what animals call their “bathing pond” that we finally relaxed and thought: “Luckily, we didn’t turn back.” There are tourist signs here, but no trace of tourists — like a forgotten corner of the world. The Washing Body River is clear and bright, peaceful and harmonious, with springs that do not dry up during droughts nor overflow during floods, with tiny streams flowing constantly. Both banks of the river have a good ecological environment and dense forests, serving as habitats for water deer, macaques, black bears, musk deer, tufted deer, wild boars, clouded leopards, red pandas, and other wildlife, as well as a paradise for various wild birds like mountain chickens, beautiful chickens, white pheasants, and bamboo chickens.
